I may be losing it...

The other morning I was sitting outside enjoying my morning coffee and the delicious weather we've been having.  Sacha, as usual, was sitting on the counter pressing her face against the window screen begging to come outside with me.    It had rained overnight and the grackles were all over our neighbour's lawn.  Before I knew it, I found myself commenting on the number of birds, swiftly moving to explain to Sacha how, when it rains, the worms come to the surface and make a feast for birds.

A few mornings later, I caught myself playing peekaboo with her around the barbecue.  Sacha was not amused.  Or interested.  And believe me when I say that she has absolutely no trouble expressing her disinterest.

I, however, am mildly worried that I'm losing it.

Hopefully, as long as I don't attempt to teach her how to ice a cake, I'm still okay.

Right?

  1. Oh yeah. As long as you don't do THAT, you are like totally ok.

Not losing it. (Sacha may or may not agree.)

  2. No, you have lost it.
Where it went, I do not know.

  3. Nope, not at all! I talk to my pets like that all the time. Wait. Maybe that means I'm losing it along with you...?

When Scott & I got married, he started playing peekaboo with my cat, Squeaky. He'd peek around the corner, hide and repeat until Squeaky couldn't stand it anymore and he'd trot across the room to find him. I loved to watch them play like that. <3 Our cat, Luna, will play sometimes, but only if she's in the mood. Your Sacha stories remind me of her. She's black & white, too! :o)

  4. Oh, Thelma, I don't think you are losing it! I think you are enjoying life and helping Sascha enjoy hers.... in fact, I've shown our cat Sally Foo foo how to make meatloaf! She rather enjoys listening to me!!!

  5. the trick would be keeping the fur out of the icing, and of course stopping her from licking the beaters.
