Our Family Prayer for 2011

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for another year... another year to live and move and have our being in you. We are so grateful and unworthy to serve such a faithful, loving God, and we seek to glorify Your Name in all things.

Lord, at the outset of this new year that holds so much that is unknown and uncertain, we pray that in all we do, we may live a life worthy of You.

Help us to live lives of love.
Make us faithful in prayer.
Create in us a hunger to delve deeper into your Word.
Allow us to grow daily, hourly even, in our knowledge of you.
Make us bold in our witness of you and your Gospel.
Shape our desires to match Your will for our lives.
Give us the strength to live in hope, peace and confidence, knowing that your faithfulness cannot fail.

Help us to wake each day conscious of the fact that we have been given another day to serve you out of joy and gratitude.

Make our lives a mirror of you, Lord, so that when those who do not yet know you look at our lives they see you.

Let us begin this year confident that whatever circumstances may cross our path, our God does not change, waver, slumber or sleep.
