My Favourite Things: Monday

Good morning!

Was it as gloriously sunny in your part of the world as it was in mine? I spent the day rejoicing in it... a full day of sun in the bleak grey of winter is a beautiful thing! I hope that, regardless of the weather, you had a blessing-filled day of worship!

Did you know my birthday is just around the corner? 'Tis true.
Did you know that one of my favourite things was a gift from my husband? Also true.
And lastly, did you know that this gift was a ring from my favourite jeweler? Yep. True fact.

And one last question in this Monday quiz: did you know I'm not above hint-dropping to He-Who-Only-Infrequently-Reads-This-Blog?

Ahem...

Have you heard of James Avery?

You need to. At least, in my humble opinion you do. I love the story of how his jewelry came to be, and how this World War II pilot with a BA in industrial design left his teaching career, renewed his commitment to the Lord and started his own business.

I find the diversity and intricate design of James Avery jewelry absolutely stunning. It's the reason I'm thrilled that Len got me this ring a few years ago:

Since my birthday is drawing near (regardless of the fact that our jewelry budget is almost at zero), I shall drop a few hints while at the same time provide some highlights to the beautiful jewelry from James Avery.

I'm completely in love with this cuff bracelet:

If we're talking rings, I love this vintage pearl ring:

And this sand-dollar pendant (in silver, of course):

And this exquisite cross pendant:

There so much more that I love from James Avery, but I'm going to leave it at that, and let you go and click and discover for yourself... who knows what might appear on your next birthday list!

What about you? What's one of the favourite things that you got for your birthday that continues to bring you joy?

Oh, and yes, that's a new button for MFT:M... I've never been thrilled with the original, so I changed it something much better. If you're thinking it's necessary to go back and change all your previous posts to the new button, let me suggest you save yourself the time. It took me much longer than I would have liked.
