My Favourite Things: Monday

It's Monday. It's winter. I slept in this morning after having a dream about my brakes not working on the highway... I had just seen a vehicle careen off the road and fall down into the gorge, and 70km later I was still attempting to stop so I could check if everyone was in one piece. I greatly dislike those kinds of dreams. They are not my favourite thing.

It also snowed last night. Also not a favourite thing...

How to make it better, besides crawling back into bed and pulling the covers over my head? Blogging? Instead, maybe some rosemary would help...

I got out the recipes from our team cooking session in Bern, Switzerland and made the pork tenderloin for Len last night. My house is still fragrant with rosemary. Delicious!

I never really cared for rosemary, back when I thought that rosemary could only exist as those hard, pointy sticks that would occasionally find their way into my mother's spaghetti. I didn't mind the flavour, but the texture was horrible.

Being introduced to fresh rosemary? Opened up a whole new world...

A week or two ago, I popped into the grocery store in The Town Where I Work and their floral department was selling rosemary Christmas trees... just little table top ones, but I wanted to grab one and carry it around with me! The aroma was delicious!
