1. This weekend, those of us haunted by Daylight Savings Time will get an extra hour of sleep. I'm very excited about this. I have big plans for that extra hour. Not to give it away, but I really hope to be sleeping. Didn't see that coming, did you?
2. This morning I wondered briefly what it might be like to add some cinnamon vanilla spice into my coffee grinds before I brewed a pot. I wondered whether it might be a delicious combination or a very bad idea, but the fact that it could very well be all kinds of gross and ruin an entire (and essential) pot of first-thing-in-the-morning-coffee prompted me to leave well enough alone. If one of you could give it a try and let me know how it goes, that would be greatly appreciated.
3. Sacha would love to eat my Cheerios. She's been perched near me while I'm eating, staring intently at my bowl and occasionally attempting to get her tongue near enough the milk to try some. I'm not actually convinced she'd eat the Cheerios, but I'm quite confident that she would lick each and every one in order to drink every last drop of milk. And then... well, then bad things would happen. Things that require a lot of paper towel and nose-holding to clean up.
4. It's been somewhat subtly pointed out to me that I have yet to post the answers to my 'What's This Wednesday' from a few weeks ago. Congratulations to Dawn who guessed them all correctly! Please contact someone who you feel confident will give you a prize. I don't really have any prizes unless you want to come over so I can cook for you. Which you are most welcome to do!
5. This is my 35th Schmozzle. Thirty five. I know I ought to say something extremely wise and profound, given that most of the past Schmozzles are collections of wisdom and profundity. Perhaps, though, for the 35th we'll break the pattern and just post miscellany instead. Love it.
6. Do you ever have it when you're driving home, and realize that the choice not to hit the little girl's room before leaving work was a bad one? Of course, you realize this at least ten minutes from home, and then there's always the question of parking... will there be a spot outside our house?
Will I be able to pull in, shut the car off, grab everything and race into the house?
Or will I have to parallel park? Badly.
This seems to be inevitable: as soon as I really need to be inside the house more than anything, I can't parallel park to save my life.
Do you ever have this?
No? You have a driveway?
I may or may not be jealous. I'll never say.
7. I am going to put up our outdoor Christmas lights this weekend. Why? Because I should be able to manage it without freezing several of my digits off. Do I feel a bit guilty about that, and expect to have my house egged by Scrooge-like neighbours? Yes.
8. I need to water my plants.

Our cat growing up ate ravioli. And pepsi.
ReplyDeleteI have a driveway...I didn't know people could live without them?In fact, I have a garage! And only my car fits so Eric has to park his honkin' truck on the driveway.
I need to water my plants too.
Only 5 more Schmozzles and you can quit being x-rated.
ReplyDeleteI love Sacha. I think we should meet. Perhaps you could arrange that...
#4 was for me, huh? I didn't realize I was being even *somewhat* subtle. ;)
I always pee before I leave work. ALWAYS. (Is it okay that I said "pee" on your blog??)
I have frequently said the words "I can't parallel park to save my life." Are we twins??
We'll be putting up Christmas lights early, too. Not this weekend, though. Please tell me you're not turning them on yet, though. I may or may not judge you if you do.
I sprinkle cinnamon on my coffee all the time. It's delicious, and cinnamon is considered a "super food"- did you know that? Cleans your blood!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it in the grounds, though.
Our outdoor cat's favourite food was spaghetti. The operative word there being 'outdoor.'
ReplyDeleteI also need to know when you are going to plug in the lights. One of our neighbours had red lights on their house before Halloween. Not sure if they were hoping they'd look orange, or if they were super super super early for Christmas.
You should come to our school's bazaar auction on the 20th - there is a kitchen aid stand mixer on auction!
We put cinnamon in our coffee grounds and Peter likes it. Vanilla spice...I could only imagine. Try it...I don't think it will ruin it.
