Today...
I got up at 4:30AM to finish my case report. If you're wondering, I have decided to go ahead and implement the JITD system for Barilla SpA. You're welcome.
I proved once again that I am not capable of doing the math to make a larger pot of coffee, and not have it taste similar to swill.
Also proved that if you just add more cream, you'll be able to drink it.
I realized I have only blogged twice per week for the last several weeks. Sad, but true.
I have to vote for a new mayor, councilor, school trustee and (I'm pretty sure) other people, but am thoroughly unprepared to do so. I'm hoping the ballot comes with a cheat sheet.
I realized yet again why I love our new furnace. Our house is warm. Apparently it requires us getting a new furnace to realize how poorly our 17 year old furnace was heating our home. Perhaps 'valiantly attempting' to heat our home is more accurate.
I'm a little infatuated.
Not enough to go down in to the unfinished basement and take a photo of it, but enough so to take a photo of the thermostat and blog about it.
Now you also have proof that I was up too early this morning. In case you needed that, and all.
I realize this might be considered a bad category and that my fellow bloggers who participate in My Favourite Things: Monday might wonder what they're supposed to do now. To help you along, I shall clarify today's category with the following: what do you love about your house right now? I know there's something. And this week we're clearly not winning any prizes for amazing photography, so go ahead and amaze me.
I, in turn, am going to strap myself to a chair so as not to crawl back into bed. Did I mention today marks the beginning of The Len's reading week? And that he's still sound asleep?
Yes, well... just means he's missing out on some fantastically bad coffee.

I'm throroughly unprepared to vote next week as well. Whoopsiedoodle.
ReplyDeleteWe were amazed as well at how awesome our new heat pump was compared to our old one. Wow!
Warmth is always a good thing. We have our first warmth from our wood stove this morning.....sooooo nice.
ReplyDeletelove you, Mom
The thing I love about my house: my wood stove. So cozy.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that it is less than a block from my polling place, so I can walk to vote. And I'm sort of ready. But what the heck does a county recorder even DO?
FYI: My word verification is strumies. Sounds like nice yummy pastries!
I'm sorry you had to get up so early today. And that you made yucky coffee. Of course, I think all coffee is yucky. Also, thanks for commenting on my last blog. I have missed your comments!
ReplyDeleteMy ballot always comes with a cheat sheet. It's called "my dad." :D
Thank you so much for clarifying today's topic for me! ;o) Here is my post in response to yours: http://disestherzone.blogspot.com/2010/10/my-favourite-things-monday_25.html
Thanks for the good laugh! A bad pot of coffee is so hard to deal with and yes, more cream so helps! The thing I love best about my house right now is the windows - though it's a love hate. The reason I say that is due to the lower sun it shines through the windows to so to show off the lovely finger prints and such. Ugh. But with the weather getting more miserable, the day light helps!
ReplyDeleteHope your day isn't too long for you!
