XXVI

1. And now, for a legitimate Schmozzle. Anything for you, Jenn. You should know that. ♥

2. Today is Saturday. (It's totally not. I'm lying to you. I'm backdating to provide entertainment for those of you who still check in here occasionally. Hopefully my lying to you isn't a deal breaker.)

3. After a busy week, I look forward to Saturdays. Mostly, I look forward to sleeping in. Today? Slept in until 7AM. I'm not sure that truly counts as sleeping in, but I'll take it.

4. My day was a satisfying combination of playing Country Life, doing housework, reorganizing certain parts of my dining room, getting groceries, hanging laundry on the line outside and baking. Baking on a warmish day? Not the best idea. Four loaves of zucchini bread? Worth it!!

5. I have gained four pounds in the past two weeks. I attribute this mostly to eating junk and not exercising. As I realize that this discovery (regarding the true causes of weight gain) is truly revolutionary, I shall endeavor to publish my findings in the next few medical journals. Changing the world here, people.

6. My raised garden beds are finished and planted. I am quite excited about them and shall post photos soon so that you may share in my excitement.

7. My new assistant started this past week. He is super smart. There is a good chance that if he learns his job any faster than he currently is, he's going to take my job. I'm hoping the fact that he doesn't eat during the day (no snacks, no lunch) counts against him and I'm allowed to keep my job. As eating is one of my strengths, I'm hoping it will work in my favour. For once.

8. Whilst cleaning up the dining room I rediscovered a CD with the photos we had taken for our 5th wedding anniversary which was a few weeks before I was diagnosed with diabetes. At any rate, it was an odd combination of horrific and wonderful to see myself then, knowing where I am now. Len and I decided that we would go back to the same location in August and do some 'Then&Now' photos for comparison.

9. And now? Now it is nap time.
