My Favourite Things: Monday

Which really, is almost Tuesday because I almost went to bed without posting. Thankfully, whilst I was removing my rings, I realized I was remiss and rushed downstairs to remedy the situation.

I decided for this Monday to steer clear of the obvious choices of the jewelry Len has given me... although the man has crazy awesome taste in rings. At any rate...

Today's choice is a newer acquisition; a homemade birthday gift from a dear friend, and I love this set. In fact, I plan on wearing it tomorrow!I love the colour, vibrance and texture of the beads she chose. I love how chunky the bracelet is, and how the stones stay cool against my skin all day. It's earthy and showy and makes a great subtle splash of colour in a black or grey outfit. Me likey. As I was snapping the photographs this evening, I realized how similar in texture and tone the jewelry is to my sugar and creamer set. I hadn't really put that together before, but I thought that was rather interesting. And both the matching cake tray and this set are from the same friend... clearly she knows my sense of style better than I do!
And so, duly abashed from my inability to maintain a new series for more than two posts, I shall sign off to rest my head on my pillow with a promise to do better. I really enjoy this series, and I have two friends who are playing along with me. Check the comments for the links to their blogs!
